"Waterlines", theater classes

On Tuesday 28 November, at 5pm, the Auditorium “Cesare De Michelis” will host the final event of Waterlines – Literary and Artistic Residencies in Venice. This project, born from the collaboration between the International College of Ca’ Foscari University and the Fondazione Venezia, welcomed the Portuguese actor and director Filipe Crawford for its autumn edition.

The final event will take place in the Auditorium, and includes a theater lesson open to the public on the theme of the mask and Venetian commedia dell’arte. Filipe Crawford will be joined on stage by the actor Pierdomenico Simone. The residency included two seminars reserved for students before this public theater lesson.

Crawford expresses his belief in the magical power of the mask, viewing the actor as a celebrant of an ancient ritual capable of summoning the Gods when he wears it.

Entry to the event is by reservation and seats are available on a first-come, first-serve basis. Interested people can reserve a place by contacting info@waterlinesproject.org.
