Toni Servillo, for Emilio Vedova

On November 26, at 5.30 pm, a special event will take place in conjunction with the exhibition Rivoluzione Vedova, organized by the Emilio and Annabianca Vedova Foundation in collaboration with M9 – Museo del ‘900.

The well-known actor Toni Servillo will perform live songs taken from “Pagine diario” written by the Venetian master Emilio Vedova. Using Vedova’s words from the early 1960s, Servillo will give voice to the artist’s profound and tumultuous creative process. The show will tell the story of the evolution of Vedova’s life and work, set in crucial moments in Italy’s history, including post-agricultural society, fascism, the partisan struggle, the post-war period, various artistic movements and the avant-garde.

The evening will open with the screening of the film “Dalla parte del naufragio“, produced by Twin Studio and directed by Tommaso Pessina for the Emilio and Annabianca Vedova Foundation. The film offers an exploration of the life and artistic contributions of the great Venetian artist, through Servillo’s narration and stunning period images.

Entry to the event is free upon reservation. Bookings are currently limited to M9 card holders, with registration open to the general public from Monday 20 November at 4pm.
